SwissLife AM, Hermes GPE and GARP welcome students in the EDHEC MSc in Risk & Finance
SwissLife AM, Hermes GPE and GARP welcome 38 students from China, Morocco, Vietnam, Czech Republic and France in the EDHEC MSc in Risk & Finance in London.
Nikolas Tessaromatis, Director of the MSc in Risk & Finance in London and Professor of Finance, welcomed the new students’ intake.
Pr. Tessaromatis gave a brief overview of the 13-month part-time programme. Designed to prepare students for careers in financial markets, banking and corporate finance, the MSc in Risk & Finance is sponsored by SwissLife AM. The MSc is also an academic partner of GARP, the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
Professor Raman Uppal then gave students their first course of the year in Foundations of Asset Pricing & Risk Management.
After a very interesting and studious start, EDHEC students were welcomed by Pascale Viala, Director of Financial Economics Studies and Emmanuel Métais, Associate Dean for Graduate Studies. The welcome address was followed with keynote presentations from guest speakers:
Peter Kaste, Head of Financial Engineering at SwissLife AM ('Risk Management in Asset Allocation'),
Lucie Woolley from GARP ('Creating a Culture of Risk Awareness: the Financial Manager Certificate'),
Elias Korosis, Partner, Strategy & Environmental Investing at Herms GPE ('Private Equity’s role in an Institutional Portfolio: Challenges, Risks and Rewards').
The day ended with a cocktail party where students meet and interact with guest speakers and the EDHEC faculty.
