Module 07 - International Economics

Understanding the impact of macroeconomic developments and government policies on real and financial variables is crucial for professionals working in corporate financial management, asset management, and trading. This course equips participants with the conceptual framework, the experience, and the tools for analysing international economic problems and policies and engaging in economic forecasting. The course reviews fundamental economic concepts, covers core macroeconomics, discusses international economics, and touches upon industrial economics. Monetary economics and international finance topics such as money and the banking system, inflation, balance of payments, determination of foreign exchange rates, international monetary system, economic integration and financial markets will be given specific emphasis.
