"After the detailed research on the internet I find out that EDHEC was a perfect fit for my interests and wishes: the curriculum concentrating equally on market and corporate finance, the School's international diversity and location represented exactly what I was looking for. Moreover, I was very happy to be awarded two scholarships - Reunited Europe scholarship from EDHEC business school and Eiffel French government grant."

Marija Dubrovskaja

I graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Vilnius University, Lithuania in Management and Business Administration with a specialisation in Accounting and Auditing. My third year was spent in Copenhagen Business School, Denmark as an exchange student and this decision influenced my future plans a great deal - I found out how exciting it was to study and live in a multicultural environment. When I returned to Vilnius University for my final year of studies I was firmly determined to enter a master programme abroad. Many of my current classmates have several years of work experience whereas in Eastern European countries people prefer to complete their education and then start working. This is what made me choose to apply for an MSc immediately after my Bachelor studies.

Once I had decided to pursue my Master's degree abroad, the next step was to find a suitable programme. I was confident about the area I wanted to specialise in so I knew I was looking for an MSc in Finance. After the detailed research on the internet I find out that EDHEC was a perfect fit for my interests and wishes: the curriculum concentrating equally on market and corporate finance, the School's international diversity and location represented exactly what I was looking for. Moreover, I was very happy to be awarded two scholarships - Reunited Europe scholarship from EDHEC business school and Eiffel French government grant.

Now, after several months of courses I can share some experience about EDHEC. The programme began with a 3 weeks intensive French course which was definitely a good initiative since I got some basic knowledge of French and made friends with many international students. After that the real courses started and time began to fly! The life of an EDHEC student is indeed very busy with courses, group-work projects and readings. The courses are really enjoyable nevertheless as they are very interesting and dynamic. In my country the studies are very theoretical which is why I find EDHEC's practical and project based learning approach so appealing.

The class I have enjoyed the most so far has been Money and Capital Markets, not only because of its usefulness but also because of the professor's good contact with the group which made the course so lively. One of the most attractive things about the studies is the group work. To my mind, it is an excellent opportunity to get international experience which is so valued by employers. During these two months I took part in group projects and discussion with students from Austria, China, France, Germany, Morocco, South Africa and Turkey. This was a great opportunity to explore how people with so different cultural background work together, express their opinions and handle the conflicts which sometimes arise after discussing a part of the project for some hours.

Even with all this challenging coursework, there is still time to socialise and explore the beauty of the French Riviera, a region with so many exciting places to visit.

I think EDHEC Business School is a perfect combination of academic knowledge, hands-on experience, exciting student life and a beautiful place to spend a year of your life.
